Discover Your Place in the Family
At Hope City Church, we believe that every person is uniquely gifted by God to make a meaningful difference. Our ministries are more than just programs; they are vibrant communities where you can grow in your faith, build lasting friendships, and live out your purpose. Whether you’re passionate about hospitality, diving deep into the Word, or serving our local neighbors, there is a place here for you to belong and thrive.
Connections Ministry
What it is: The “Front Door” of Hope City, encompassing everything from our digital presence to the atmosphere in the sanctuary.
What we do: We manage social media, lead worship through music and arts, and provide a world-class welcome through our greeters and doorkeepers.
Do I need to be a professional musician or tech expert to join? Not at all! While our Worship and Social Media teams look for specific skills, our Greeter and Doorkeeper teams simply require a warm smile and a heart for hospitality.
What is the time commitment for this team? Most team members serve once or twice a month during our Sunday services, arriving about 30 minutes early to prepare the environment for our guests.
Care & Community Impact Ministry
What it is: The outward-facing arm of Hope City, dedicated to serving the physical and spiritual needs of our neighbors.
What we do: We lead local outreach initiatives and provide wellness support through our Medical Ministry to show the love of Jesus in tangible ways.
Do I need medical certification to join the Medical Ministry? For our medical response team, we look for licensed healthcare professionals (RNs, MDs, EMTs), but our Outreach initiatives are open to anyone with a heart to serve.
How often does the church do community outreach events? We host regular local missions and wellness events throughout the year. You can sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on our next opportunity to serve.
Family & Life Stages Ministry
What it is: Our community-focused pillar that supports the specific needs of individuals and families throughout their lives.
What we do: We provide dedicated ministry environments for Children & Youth, Singles, and Marriages to foster healthy relationships and faith-filled homes.
Is there a background check required to work with Children and Youth? Yes, the safety of our families is our top priority. All volunteers working with minors undergo a comprehensive background check and safety training.
I’m single; is there a place for me in this ministry? Absolutely! Our Family & Life Stages pillar specifically includes a vibrant Singles Ministry focused on community, spiritual growth, and navigating life’s seasons together.
Growth & Discipleship Ministry
What it is: The engine for spiritual maturity and leadership development within our congregation.
What we do: We oversee Christian Education, Bible studies, and the Ministerial Alliance to ensure every member is equipped with biblical truth.
Who can join the Ministerial Alliance or teaching teams? Our Ministerial Alliance is for those called to formal ministry, while Christian Education is open to anyone with a passion for biblical study and a desire to help others grow.
Are there resources available to help me grow if I’m not a teacher? Yes! This ministry provides the tools, classes, and mentorship needed to deepen your personal walk with Christ, regardless of your leadership level.
